What a classic movie! Anthony Perkins is excellent as the mild-mannered unassuming hotel owner with a secret. I actually really like the set up even before we get to the hotel with the secretary having to bank a large amount of money and deciding to do a runner with it. Whenever you mention Psycho, every does the "Wreeek , wreek wreek" stabbing motions, do I don't feel anyone really talks about the initialnice nice music during these intital scenes. "The "Do, do do do do do do do do do doo" theme that's intermixed with the main theme. The film builds up in your typical early films day with a "Who done it" - or in this case where is the missing secretary/money. and this is all before we get to the hotel but continues once Norman Bates does away with said secretary. Gret film and reveal, and performance by Anthony Perkins.

The beginning is so intense with her running with the money, could be a movie in itself. But then...definitely an all time classic. Perkins is great in his role, as was Janet Leigh even though she wasn't in it very long.
