Now this is one holiday movie starring Bill Murray I watch every year!
An 80's coporate take on A Christmas Carol with greedy, selfish tv exectutive Francis Xavier Cross (murray discovering the true meaning of Christmas and being a nicer person in general. Not only does it have Murray, but Karen Allen (Indiana Jones And The Raiders of the loast Ark), Bobcat Goldthwait (Zed in Police Academt) but also a very special mention should be given to the very physical fairy Carol Kane who almost steals the show as Ghost of Christmas Present.
One of my favourite scenes is when he's taken back to his own past and gets a gift from his no-nonsense father at Christmas "Is it a choo-choo?" asks a young 4 year old Frank to which he replies "No it's four lbs of veal", but it's what comes after with the delivery from (Once again Bill Murray's real-life brother Brian Doyle-Murray who was in Groundhog Day, Christmas Vacation), he has told young Frank to go out and get a job and buy a choo-choo then says: "Every day I hear excuses for why people can't work, my back hurts.. my legs ache.. I'm only four!..." The last bit and the way he says it always gets me.
There's also geat moments with some of the other execs, the woman who keeps getting accidently injured, the young smary exec who's brought in to help Frank, Let alone Frank's predecessor who retired and dies years ago when he comes back. IOt's just that dark comedy, dark humor that I love.

Really good movie. I've been a fan of Bill Murray for a long time, all the way back to when I was a kid and saw him on SNL. Meatballs, Stripes, Caddyshack, Ghostbusters...all good stuff. We watch this every year too.

For ne it started with seeing Ghostbusters on TV, then Groundhog Day just cemented it!
