Is English easier or more difficult to learn than other languages? Why do you think so?

I would intially be tempted to say no, but I really think it depends where you are in the world. Say if you were in India and moving to the USA or UK, then I guess would be to learn a completley different language. Or similarly if you were from those countries moving to India, even though that isn't the question here.
