I was reading an article about it this morning and it's hard to believe this year marks it's 30th Anniversary! Where as the first 1984 outing, The Terminator; was a dark sci-fi horror noir - the second was an all out action blockbuster seeing the return of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Linda Hamilton and director James (Jim) Cameron. Also starring Edward Furlong, Robert Patrick and Joe Morton. "The future is not set, there is no fate but what we make.", cites John Connor, future leader of the resistance who can stop the end of the world from the machines. As before with his mother Sarah, a lone warrior reprogrammed thirty-five years from now; was sent to protect him from the latest advanced Terminator sent back to eliminate him. It was just a question of which would reach him first. Boasting a much more considerable budget, and ground breaking effects for it's time this blockbuster catapulted in the stratosphere and popular culture. So what are you thoughts on this movie and favourite bits, did you prefer the theatrical version or extended/director'#s cut?

T2 is awesome but nothing beats the original to me.
As for the standard vs extended cut, I don't even know the difference. Could you elaborate on what's added/cut from each?
